    Its maybe me, but i always though this mixer sounded like crap..
    Anyways, i was maybe looking to buy the djm t1.. I think it will be great for here.
    The 350 look nice too, with the usb record thing, but i prefer the 400 for the effect box.
    I got the numark because i paid 60$ from a friend.

    If you can in fact turn your socket into a Line In, it will be more than good enough for recordings. If not, you'll of course need a new sound card. I think they removed the line-in capabilities of the audio port in the more recent Macbooks though.

    The Alesis card you linked will also be fine for recording but you'll have to use a separate program like Audacity for the recording itself.

    Well, with the output/input, i need to use a separate program too, i cant record in traktor

    i could never get it to work. the option is there in the osx preferences, but it just wont work. Idk i also have one of the really new MBP's so maybe that's it.
