I suggested a rating system to soundcloud
    http://getsatisfaction.com/soundclou...rating_system8
I figured people don't really want to take the time to write out feedback so a simple rating system would be easy (much like youtube stars). At least that would let you know if your doing something wrong or right in the most basic way.

Apparently they aren't too fond of this idea.
If anyone has any ideas on how to go about in a hassle free way
-respond or post in their feedback section, because they respond back

Other than that I don't know, it's bit frustrating to see playback stats & numbers and not knowing whether people actually like it or not

yeah, commenting and being able to "favorite" tracks is a method of feedback..more comprehensive statistics would be nice though.

but on the blog issue, it can't hurt to send them. worst case someone else has heard your work and may remember it when the time is right? not too shabby :P and best case your work gets put out there to thousands of people. do work son

If you post replies to peoples mixes in the mixes section of the forum there is a good chance they will check out your mix in return

Exactly, if you are not a famous dj you always need to give something back to your isteners. I listen to a lot of other people´s mixes and tracks, in return I always get feedback.

There are also lots of groups in soundcloud, I am suscribed to several (near 100) and post my tracks in every one realated to the music genre. So I get replies pretty quick. And if you really need more stats you may purchase the pro account which will enable all the stats from the site.

Yes it's very long and very jargon orientated and as I work in finance it's normally something to avoid

but if someone on here says it's cool then I might just chuck a couple of new mixes up when I have time.
