Fuck... Everytime I read prices like that I count my lucky stars that I got a pair of pretty much mint condition MK5's for £300.

Depends where you live. In big cities you can find a solid pair or 400-500 if you have any patience.

You can get a table for 250-300 easily from Guitar Center. Even more on Craigslist in FL.

I just picked up a 1200 M3D from Guitar Center for $280 that is in good shape. If you are patient and look around you can find them for around $300.

Ill give you $50 for it. If you fix it ill give you $200 for it. That's about what a stock working MK2 in good shape is worth. Some idiots are willing to pay through the nose, but they are idiots.

Not even an year ago 1200s were selling for 500 a piece. If you are smart about it, you can find good deals.

I picked up a pair of great condition M5Gs for $750 a few months ago. A pair of these can go as high as $2,000 in good condition.

You're joking, right? 1200's Broken down to the point where they need a complete repair are still worth through the $200-$300 price range PER. You're living in a fantasy if you think you're going to get a working pair of 1200's for $200 LOL.

1200s are like 400-600 here in Australia, if I ever saw one for $200, my boner would probably cause me to faint.

    I got a working pair of SL1200s for 250 :P

I wouldn't pay more than 250 for a single SL1200. MAYBE 300 for a like new 1200. There's absolutely no way I would pay 300-400. That's just stupid. There's way too many in the market for them to be worth that much.
