I would never buy an 800. Really dislike the sound quality compared to other mixers in the same price range

850 has the color beat effects and such, its a nice touch. Definitely a solid choice, way better then an 800 for sure. Unless the 800 is mint and way cheaper I would get an 850.

Sort of truth in that... I find the 92 super over rated and quite annoying...

    Headphone cue is retarded

The fader curve is pretty wack imo

    The buttons are yuck

92 sounds really lovely, particularly with vinyl, on a proper club system though no doubt... but for home use, meh

    IMO

You forgot that the EQ knobs are utterly ridiculous and stubby.

I had the DJM-850 and really loved it. Mainly the price. I got it when Guitar Center was running a big sale in addition to the $300 Pioneer rebate. I got it for $900 before taxes.

Anywho, it was a dope mixer... however whenever using the internal soundcard with Traktor, the audio would randomly drop out. It only did it every once in awhile at first, but it become more frequent. I don't normally take my mixers out to the club... but every once in a blue moon I would if what the club had sucked.

There were 2 times when it crashed on me and that was more than enough while playing out. I returned the mixer and upgraded to the 900 nexus. Haven't looked back since.

Nothing beats the analogue filters on the xone 92s. Until another brand brings out a solid analogue mixer with good filters it will be my number one

Fair enough the xone 92 filters are lush. I can't really argue with the sound quality, defo has a lovely warm flavour...

I just dont 100% get Allen and Heath's vibe anymore... I dont think they've really nailed it with the DB series... no one is installing them in clubs and loads of clubs used to instal 92s over pio mixers.

I just think there needs to be something in between a xone 92 and a db2. The DB4 just looks like off putting over kill but the db2 is niggly annoying what it's missing.

I want to want a xone mixer but the annoying niggles mean i have to go pio
