How to use Maschine Step Sequencer while its a plugin inside Ableton

Hey man, thanks for the reply. I'm going to bookmark this page of this thread so i can re-read this over when I'm using Maschine. But for now, that's not what I'm after. I didn't explain my last reply properly.

I meant; I have got Traktor and Ableton syncd together so that now, Maschines step-sequence is synced up to Traktors beats, as well as getting the plugin working over maschine as well.

So, what I need to do now, is apply my plugins in Ableton over music that I'm playing in Traktor This is something I mainly wanted to do, evne tho im very happy now that ive got it working with maschine, i just want to be able to add my delay plugin over a track that is in ableton!

I've got an Allen and Heath Xone 92, Traktor Audio 10, and have Aux 1 and Return 1 going to the main IN and main OUT of my Audio 10. I've heard that i wont be able to achieve what i want with only an audio 10, as richie hawtin and chris liebing use a different soundcard.

Do you know much about this? Even if I can only apply plugins over ONE traktor deck, say just Deck A for example, ill be happy with that until i can afford a soundcard with more i/o. I think I just need to make an audio track in ableton and then route/set the ins/outs to something and connect the 2nd aux and return channel to the audio 10, but i really dont know exactly what i have to do.

Again, I just use two sound cards. I don't have a latency issue, really.

One you have your tracks routed into audio tracks in ableton, drag the VSTs from the browser onto those tracks.

What you want to do is possible. Like the poster above me said, could be done with a second sound card. I did this option for a bit, but really felt there was a loss in audio quality. I went back to just using the effects onboard Traktor, as the bennefits did not out weigh the loss in audio I felt. Interesting to learn of another way to do this.

I have to make do with my audio 10, as its all i have atm. Can't afford to buy any new equipment.... on that thought, wait... i do have Traktor soundcard from an old version of Traktor scratch duo... maybe an audio 2 or 4. I could hook that up?

But overall, i would like to just use my audio 10. How did you do this with 1 soundcard mate? @LanceBlaise - and are you able to apply plugins form ableton over all 4 decks?

Just put your VSTs on your tracks.

Okay, I've followed everything properly in this video, but when i press play on Traktor decks, no sounds comes out, BUT, I can see feedback on each Ableton audio track decks volume display, but theres no sound.... It's only when i turn up the 'send' on each deck that sound comes out, not good quality tho, and plus the sound comes from my mic/return channel on my Xone29... I cant get no feedback or sound through any of my 4 channels on my mixer. What have i done wrong?

I have a feeling that from doing my Traktor Audio 10 main in and main out to the return/mic channel of my xone92 has something to do with why this isnt working, as the sound from each deck comes out of this return/mic channel of my xone92, but as i said, only when i turn the send up on each audio track in abelton. Plus, in the tut video, Endo didnt have any of the sends turnt up himself, so. Eh :-(
