I'm confused about platter functions on my controller. Please help.

Deevey is suggesting you to set a shift modifier that can determine which mode your tempo fader is currently in use (direct or relative).

In the relative mode, you can decrease the rotary sensitivity to the amount where your fader makes that ultrafine BPM adjust.
