    Just adding to all the tributes across many different media channels, tis very sad the passing of him. Had the pleasure of hearing him play at a MoS night in the mid 90's - he's got one helluva legacy.

    i cant believe i still have its early 90's CD in my old CD book
    still with no scratches. MAN im going to cry if i play one of them this week.

    New car, old beats, never ending memories. Ran into him PLENTY of nights. Shook hands, made my mark on the crowd
    then dipped back into the dark part of the booth under the rack lights to let him hold the stage.

    what a great man. Always elevated the people around him
