RCA/TRS on the send of the mixer into the input of the Kaoss pad, the output of the Kaoss pad into the input of the next effect, and the output into another effect or the return of the mixer. I haven't done it, but I'd imagine this would be how to do it.
This is how it will work. Cables depend on I/O of each FX box.

Depends on what you want to spend and what your workflow is. If you don't mind a touch interface, the KAOSS pad is a good piece of kit. Pretty sure it has delay reverb in with the many effects. Guitar effect pedals can be a good option by chaining up a few of them.
Another tactical solution would be one of the Pioneer boxes. I still have an old EFX500 collecting dust someplace... I may actually start bringing that out again. Used to have a good time jamming with that.

I heard KP3 doesnt have so good sound compared to EFX boxes.. however efx doesnt have reverb if Im not mistaken. Now since Im in the market for hardware loop sampler as well, I guess I could use KP3 as it has sampler integrated.

Im also looking at Roland SP-303 and Sp-404, any thoughts on them ? And also sound quality ?

Might be an interesting experiment to get a small format desktop mixer and route the FX output to an input on the small mixer and then route that through a channel that has an effect running through it... Might even be better if you bought a small mixer with onboard effects.
