WTF is "Black music"?
Play whatever keeps the girls happy and dancing...everything else will just work itself out.
Ask the birthday girl what her favorite music/artists/genres/songs are. Sprinkle those songs into your set. In this setting, I approach DJing as a "service" not an "art." Play for the people who are actually there.

This. No ones that interested in you or what you like and most DJs don't realise this. It may sound harsh but they just want to party and sing songs they like. Drop a few of your favorites if you feel they could have some appeal, but play for the crowd. I don't know about America, but over here I would play whatever Kiss FM are currently playing, with few big tunes from the last few years.
Give them what they want and others will be asking if you can do their parties too.
