If you just want to do this over your LAN, there are apps that can sync folders on the same network. Do a quick search for "app to sync folders" and I'm sure you'll find what you need. I just wanted the additional convenience of a cloud backup and the ability to sync from remote locations, just in case.

Be aware that a sync is NOT A BACKUP.

If all your files on your main drive get corrupted, and you then sync it with another copy, you have just overwritten all your good files with corrupt files.

Backup means you have an incremental backup where you can roll back to the data on a certain day or week.

Right, which is why I have a couple of external hard drives as backups. But it IS a backup in a conventional sense, as if my primary desktop drive crashed, I could reinstall Windows on a new drive, log in to Box, and it would sync my music back down to my PC. Of course, I understand your caution, and it's legit, and this should not be the ONLY backup you have of your collection (I also have the original CDs in most cases, but I wouldn't want to have to re-rip and tag them all again!).
