" I’m the Dude, so that’s what you call me. That or, uh His Dudeness, or uh Duder, or El Duderino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing. "
I went out and shot myown, but then again, I'm deliberately using a lo-fi look.
I design all my own art work, and take most if not all the photos neededgranted i studied art in school lol
When I do cover art for mixes, I typically just look at my photography archives while I'm listening to it and see if anything jumps out at me.
I think a nice album cover goes a long way. Even though I shouldn't, I am often drawn to a track because of "pretty" cover art. I try to do this for my own stuff as well.
I am currently taking graphic design classes, and you would be surprised how interesting the effects can get when using the most simple Photoshop "Blending Modes" with random HD abstract photos. I find that abstract pictures fit the Electro House genre nicely. Here are some examples of what I did for my podcast "Electric Entity Radio"

What do you think?
I go to Flickr, turn the creative commons filter on the search engine and look for keywords that match the concept of the mix (I enjoy doing concept mixes) and then I edit it. I'm a videographer so I use Final Cut for this, I don't have much Photoshop knowledge. I go on the internet and look for a specific font that communicates best the concept. It's a fun part of the process for me! Last time I tried mixing up two different images and I think it worked pretty well. This is the art for my first three mixes:

Kwal & Nitrotix - Those are sexy as heck.
Kwal, how much is a "small amount," and how did you find said designers?
Nitrotix, you use photoshop for that?
Jester, lol @ the Carlsberg. word.
A small amount is about $40-$50
