Just bought a CDJ2000 and a CDJ900 NXS this week. Depending on how things go, I may end up flipping the CDJ2k to get a 900NXS.

Prepare to be extremely surprised then, CDJ900NXS and XDX-1000 HID support is coming in the next release.

Does anyone know if their local GC has the XDJ-1000 in the showroom? I'd like to play on one.

I'm torn between these as well.

I have two CDJ-900's and was going to upgrade to the 900NXS.

I don't use CD's and don't need a digital out. Honestly I'm just looking forward to the larger screen. Seems XDJ might be a winner for me?

Reading these kind of threads you get the impression that the most important aspect of buying a CDJ is the size of the screen.

Try going backwards from your screen in Tracktor to this

It's funny how time skews your perspective because I can distinctly remember being blown away by that screen when I first got my 900s! Not so much the detail (it was still a pretty crappy screen 6 years ago) but simply having that amount of info and 'big' waveform on a CD player.

Although I was upgrading from a pair of CD decks that had a display showing just the time elapsed/remaining and the track number... No such extravagances as actual text or bpm readouts. I felt like a king with that 900 display!

    Right?

I'm on the 900's now and am oggling the XDJ etc. Thinking of just loosing the tables altogether and going with a laptop one day.

I just got an XDJ-1000, coming from a 2000nexus. Although I do miss the platter tension adjust and dedicated brake/release knob, the XDJ-1000 has most of the functionality from the 2000nexus, all through the touch screen.

For me, the XDJ-1000 trumps the CDJ-900NXS overall.
