I use Traktor and Rekordbox!
You can use a program called Rekord Buddy to keep cuepoints/grids/etc synced between your two libraries. I use Traktor as my master source library, so Rekord Buddy just gets the information from there, I never send any information back to Traktor, to keep my library pristine. That said, not having to re-cue and re-grid and re-enter keys for 700+ tracks was a huuuuuge bonus.
Thanks for all of your replies, its very much appreciated.
Its looking like i am going for either the
XDJ1000 x 2
DJM 900 or the DJM 850 - still undecided which one at the moment.
I am however still a little undecided on Rekordbox but i am getting the urge to move away from Traktor and use something just to manage my music.
What do you think?
My serato cue points stayin recordbox or other way around and I key with MIK
I meant sorted on my usb sticks I have 4 that I keep tracks on
Thanks for all of your help, i appreciate the comments.
Its looking like i am going to opt for DJM 900 and XDJ1000
What i am trying to do is move away from the typical setup of a controller which relies on a laptop. I am happy using a laptop to manage my music with a programme like Rekordbox but want the flexibility of either putting it onto a USB or just connecting the laptop and using direct, also i can add to the kit in future (in theory without having to replace this for some time).
Thanks
M
