Any pre-cut kit will only require wood clamps and glue to assemble. Most of the manual labor time will actually be spent finishing--it's kind of a pain to really sand/treat/paint/etc your kit, especially MDF.

I really enjoy the DIY stuff. You're basically getting 5-10x the speaker quality by cost, in exchange for 5-10 hours of work.
