Lady Gaga had that "amateur" Surgeon open for one of her shows.

She has more credibility then these two dimwits.

Lady Gaga is actually a very talented and passionate musician. I'll take her show over "EDM" any day.

I just get the sense that they are very sorta immature as artists.... Like there mind sets are... kinda shallow...

It seems sorta mental "it's too big to be a bubble"... does this come from a firm grasp of cultural anthroplogy? Economics? I think it probably comes from the cool-aid? Yes?

I mean I get that they're insecure and feel like they need to over compensate... and it's like.. if a gold mine showed up on your door step.. like I wouldn't feel terribly bad about going after it... and I don't think I'd care too much about the criticism... That you go after a gold mind, in my view, does not make your work void of artistic merit... but there are very few artists who are great from a kind of avant guard perspective.. and are hugely commercially successful.

And just the way they articulate there kind of... conception of there relationship to the market place... just seems kinda weak... as does the journalism....

    +1

I'm not into what she does, but I respect and admire her talent and dedication to her craft. Her show is way more fun than a lot of modern "raves".

People have the right to like whatever they want, it's not wrong to like them or to like underground stuff.

I see people speaking ill of their work, but, when they do the same thing about the oposite group, it's just absurd.

They have the right to call underground people amateurs, lazy, acephalous, immature, because thats exacly what they are called of.

I'm not defending them, but this is a DJ forum, not an underground-loving forum, I'm sorry.

They might have the right to call the underground 'amateurs', but we also have the right to call them idiots for thinking that, and making out like it's a bad thing.

Sure, I think Ingrosso is an amateur and Richie Hawtin is an amateur too. Everybody is an amateur and everybody is not, is just a matter of perspective.

What is more important? Money? Fame? Respect? Girls? Let each other decide. I just admire every DJ who managed to get famous, because it is not an easy task, or else everybody here would have their artice on NY Times.
