not EDM as big room, but as tech house, techno, breaks, dnb, deep house(if there is any variation to tech house), trance

and then there are the fills/bridges/breaks for 1 or 2 bars, before back to the main beat / rhythm.
long build-up sections too.

there is EDM and there is electronic music lol...

I would also look into that book, also try a simple google search for 808/909 drum patterns, I am sure there is a collection out there somewhere
