I make music for someone who graduated from there... seems like quite a waste of money, if you are just going to be producing... I think that school is great for engineers though!

My best mate went there and graduated. He now works at a post production company.
(And also does the mastering on our tracks and DJ sets)

I almost went there too.

But we tend to agree with you on your vision regarding SAE, that's why I did not attend.

The matter that they teach seems to be somewhat dated nowadays.

picked this up a few days ago. very good read. gives you the basics of everything and builds on it.

not done with the book, but it is a good reference point. if anyone else is interested, you should check out tom cosm's online videos.

i have tons to learn! i dont really have a musical background, but i would like to start producing my own tracks. i just ordered the Sound Reinforcement handbook to understand some of the basics. any other suggestions?
