    Glad you got sorted man.
How do you intend to use them, with DVS or just with a mixer.
Gonna be interesting to see how people incorporate them into their setups.

I want one for use with my DVS timcode setup with my zero4.
Using a faderfox dx2 at the moment which is perfect but I have to try the X1.

I am gonna use them simply for deck control with an external mixer. My rider for gigs has a request for a Xone 92, but i will use a Xone 62, and if for some reason none of those are available i will use the standard Pioneer or whatever... some times places have issues tracking down A&H mixers for rent, and i can use any mixer, i just prefer the A&H stuff.

Right now i control all 4 decks with one Xone:1d for deck contol only with the external mixer... I really love it, but it lack some knobs i think i need. I could get a second one, but i feel that will be a pretty big deal to lug 2 of those around on planes etc. Just don't feel like doing that... plus i think having 2 of them for me will be an overkill. I do alot of stuff with effects and having al 4 decks going, but I actually have 3 buttons open on my current setup. I do however really need another row of knobs to make me happy. So before i go and sell my Xone:1D i am gonna make sure these 2 Kontrol X1's are the right choice for me. I just hope they come shortly after the expected ship date because i am leaving to go on tour in Brazil the second week of February. I wanna have time to test them out. I am really weary about losing the "faders" that i have on my 1D, right now those control my dry and wet for each effect as well as turning the effect on and off. see what i mean in my attachment...

I have big love for the A&H 62 , i have one at my Thursday gig and when the venue tried to get me to switch to a DJM 600 i kicked up a little girls fuss and they kept the 62.
Ive used it for 4 years so i know it inside out, its just so responsive.
I had to use the 600 for a few weeks whilst the 62 was out for repair and i hated it. It was loose and jiggly and very brash sounding.

Saying that though the DJM 800 is whole different mixer. I use one on wedenesdays and i really like it.

Yeah as regards the X1 it does seem to be lacking controlls but i think this is made up for in the intuitive way it works with Traktor.
Your right to get 2 for 4 deck control. I fear that people are thinking that they can use 1 for 4 decks using Modifiers . That will become confusing very quickly.
    Props on the 1D overlay.

One of the few residencies i ever held had a Xone:92 and at one point had the rotary version of it as well. I fell in love with all A&H stuff back then. IMO Pioneer mixers are sh!t... I will agree with you that the 800 is quite better than anything they made in the past. One thing they are good for though is that they are very easy mixers, nothing is layed out wierd, and they seem to somewhat be able to withstand a serious beating. If you think about it they last after getting beat on by clueless kids just starting out jumping into DJ where ever they can with no care for any equipment. So i think as a general safe mixer Pioneers are a decent standard. The 800 has some cool effects, but i rarely ever use them now with traktor having so many options for effects.

I am hopin these new X1's will really help me develop some new ideas. That is what all of this contorllerism stuff has done for me. After spending years of jst putting on record after record and cd after cd, i found that traktor just made me so happy. I was finally able to epress myself a lot more as i do when producing... so time will tell how I feel about these things, but I have a really good feeling!
