Yeah Traktor HAS to analyse the track to give a true BPM reading

Thanks for the replies Karlos and Sine. I'll check the problem bpm tracks are all analysed.

Karlos, any ideas with the track playing through my phones independantly of whats playing through the speakers. I'm not touching anything to initiate cueing or previewing the track.

    Thanks again.

If you arent touching anything at all when the bleed into the headphones occurs is has to be a hardware fault.

First thing to do in cases like this is simple change the USB cable. Seriously they are the cause of many problems with soundcards. May sound silly but...

Then its a process of elimination :

Try using your setup without the VCI just use the keyboard. If you still get the problem then you know it isnt the VCI.

Can you use a different soundcard to see if it is the Audio 4 that is faulty.

If not try using Traktor without the VCI and use the internal soundcard.
    You can assign:
    Master Left to Output 1
    Monititor Right to Output 2

You then plug the headphones into the Laptop. This will split the channel so that Master play will be in the Left headphone side and nothing in the Right until you hit Cue. Hitting cue on Traktor will fill the headphones.
If the problem you encounter happens the headphones will fill without you pressing Cue.
If it still happens its definitely Traktor and you can file it with Support

If you dont get the problem it maybe the VCI that is faulty.
Try the whole thing again with the VCI using the cue on the VCI. (or not as it seems)
If the problem you encounter happens the headphones will fill without you pressing Cue and its the VCI thats the fault

If the problem doesnt occur with the internal card and the VCI then its the Audio 4 and you should seek Supports help for a replacement

Hope that makes sense. I got a bit lost in that !!!
