    I know I read that in russia owning a copy of a CD also allowed you to sell copies of it. dunno if it's true, was true or just bullshit. But it just might be legit. (If that makes it legit in your country I don't know thou)

    Um... owning a copy of a CD does not give you the right, in the states, at least, to sell copies of it.

    You have some rights under fair use to copy it for your own benefit, but definitely not to sell. That's complete copyright infringement.

    But it's legal in Russia, and the internet knows no borders.

    Im certainly not a lawyer but id bet my ass in prison that it isnt legal ANYWHERE in the world to sell copies of cds that you own.

    If it is legal in Russia i think they got the whole "capitalist thing" a bit wrong.

    I just missed the in russia part when I wrote. I did mean in russia thou. Here (Sweden and Brazil) it's not legal.

    Well, those file sharing sites are legal in Russia, they sell those 15 cent tracks and all

    They aren't really capitalist anyways. Gonna take MANY generations for them to ever reach a truly free market, and I doubt it'd happen.
