yep - same way as the launchpad or dicers work. tho the launchpad also allow u different brightness for each led to give u a whole stack of colors. most look the same tho

just doesn't sound like the way they've implemented the midi feedback is exactly awesome - tho could be sensible for most people as it seems to tie the led color into the "layer" its in. not how i'd be using it... i like to use different colors on my launchpad to show me the layout of controls - tho i guess not such a biggie here as it's only the 4x4 pad area that would need that...

Very similar to what I'm thinking, although going to hopefully work something out for four deck control using the layers.

Quick question, using this and an audio2dj would give me 4 stereo outputs to run into a mixer right?

yep - as the K2 has 2 stereo outs but one is on a small headphone socket - will be interesting to see if it's usable into a mixer.

i think the video said you'd need to use asio drivers on a pc to see the 2 stereo outs - else the headphone one gets routed internally and the main stereo out is seen by windows.

But red+green doesn't equal amber/orange. I thought the LEDs actually produced three different colors, like the APC40 and Launchpad.

yes it does.

don't know about the apc40 but the launchpad has two led's per pad - and each led can have 3 different intensities. so you get various yellow/amber/orange's by mixing the red and green at different levels.

cool

the next release will have a multi page launchpad config in actually... im using the "session", "user1", "user2", "mixer" buttons to switch between 4 pages (full led refresh on page switch) and on page one the bottom 3 rows is split into 2 independant "twitch" style multi banks - for slicer, beatmasher etc...

ive just wacked some virtual faders on the "mixer" page now with some kills - for mixer control without an extra mixer.

quite fun to experiment with on the launchpad anyway...
