What makes you guys think the minnofaders won't be "scratch worthy"? That's the whole point of them, isn't it? Although apparently the channel faders are adjusted too tightly but I'm sure that can be easily fixed.

That's basically what I mean, the line faders are stiffer then the crossfader, according to the recent article though it sounds like that won't be tweakable, which I find hard to believe.
I've heard from someone that's used one that the crossfader is fine, but using the stiffer version of the Mini Innofaders for the line faders (which is not user-adjustable) combined with having no curve control for the lines is off-putting for scratch/battle and many hip-hop DJs.
If you can't adjust the curve or tension on the line faders that would be a problem. My understanding of the minnofader was that there is the ability to adjust but it's just not as extensive as the regular innofader, which you can really fine-tune. But as long as you can switch between a sharp cut and a slope, they should be fine, and the tension is obviously adjustable if you have a crossfader with one setting and line faders with another. But you may need to open up the Z2 to actually get to where the adjustment controls are.

In DJ TechTools' review of the Mini Innofader, they say: -
And: -This stripped down Innofader will ship with preset, non-user configurable options:
Tension: Stiff (mixing) or Light (scratching)
The Z2 has a knob for adjusting the curve on the crossfader, but unless you can somehow adjust the line fader curves in Traktor, then you're stuck there. If you use vinyl, then you're stuck regardless. There is no mechanism to change the cut-in, curve or tension on the unit.
