Right, i tried a good few commands and could not get the TC to do what I wanted.

Closest I got was with the Loop Set. Flux Engages, but the playhead that is supposed to keep going moves when I move the TC.

So not sure if thats a bug...or if they can sort that out...but its kinda sucks!

Thats exactly what I found, you would think that no matter what once flux is engaged the green playhead should continue as it does with HID jogwheels.
I'm thinking this is a deliberate bug to encourage people to buy S4's etc. What they dont seem to understand is that some of us CHOOSE to use TC vinyl rather than the S4's wheels.

That theory doesn't really account for the fact that the latest NI mixer is designed for time-code vinyl.

Good point, but I still have yet to see any proof of TC Vinyl working with Flux mode, even with the Z2 mixer.

I'm not saying it works, just saying the conspiracy angle is off. And if TC doesn't work with flux mode on the Z2, then that is a major screw up on NI's behalf.

Yeah, I guess that it could be fixed. Maybe 2.6.1? All that is needed is for the play head not to be influenced by the TC movement when Fluxmode is on and the Loop Set is on hold.

But I also found that when using Loop Set, you have to run through the loop totally first and on the second cycle the playhead then moves ahead. I tried making the loop really small so its not noticable but that does not work either.

Maybe I am not setting it correctly, not sure.

But it seems there could be a bit more to it that just using a footswitch and Loop Set on Hold. I doubt they overlooked this scenario.
If they will have to make more than one change in order to facilitate this, then I thinks its due to a reason.

Its changing the Playhead action during Loop Set on Hold and also the cycling through the loop once before Flux kicks in.

I used the "Beatjump" set to "-xfine" in order to make flux mode kick in, this means the playhead moves on instantly and theres no need to wait for the loop to run once. Also using the Beatjump function on xtra fine make no noticable difference to the sound you hear. Its a perfect "Force Flux" tool, but it's just the problem with TC affecting the green playhead aswell as the live plahead issue to get past now.

Cheers for that!! I saw you mentioned it, but have not tried it. I shall do so later when I set my gear up. 2.6 ran perfectly for me last night. Ran it for about 5 hours...everything worked well. The FluxMode Cue juggling was sick.
