Moving to either Philly or NYC. Most likely Philly due to cost of living in NYC. Not so sure about DJ Nickel...

Default So I never introduced myself before I started posting...

Yeshua/DJ Yeshua (for now, as I can't think of a better name, and it's probably already used). My given name is Joshua.

Vancouver, WA is the town I call home.

I like lots of things: deep, dark, damp, drone, downtempo, repetitive, musique concrete, ambient, techno...

Be careful with Philly. It, well, kinda sucks.

And the ghetto is fucking terrifying. There are inexpensive places around NYC (Brooklyn and Jersey (where I live) for example). Good luck to ya

I live in BK...it's not as bad as you would think. Except normal cost of living(transport, bridges, etc.) is outrageous. Philly is pretty shitty except for the cheesesteaks... Jersey will prob. give you more bang for your housing buck and is minutes from the NYC.

Name - Nikhil, no DJ name. Maybe 'Nikhil' is a good enough DJ name? Would Nikh-ill be better?
Location - Living in Lansing, MI, but about to move in a couple months
Style(s) - world-beat, electro, minimal, funk, house, soul, pop

    .
I also made a similar trip in '98, moving from Battle Creek, MI to Brooklyn. YOu'll miss it, but never go back

And...Nik Hil may be a easy DJ name.

Wow, Battle Creek Michigan? I never thought that that was an actual place, after seeing the Jackie Chan movie.

Hmm is Philly really so shitty? I have heard it can be pretty awesome if you know your way around. I know NYC pretty well as I have three siblings that live there and I visit all of the time. I guess I just feel like adding food, housing, transportation and everything together new york is going to cost way too much. Maybe I'm wrong. Feel free to chime in, I need input, life decisions are at stake!

And BodegaBrad, that's cool you made a similar move. However, I'm not sure I will be missing Michigan any time soon. I've been here long enough.
