Interesting that you've made the move to 'all' digital.

Up until recently I was running TSP using 2x VCI-100. Recently (in the last week or so) shifted to SSL with 3x Stanton ST-150 and an Empath Rotary (might run Bridge with a Monome or VCM-600)

Everyone seems to be going smaller and less analogue. I wonder if I'm the only muppet still buying 'outdated' tech in this day...
yea, this time, i went all in, with the controller. i had been using scratch live for the past 5+ years and i loved it, but always felt like more was out there.

2003-mid2004: pair of 1200s and records
    2004-2005: 1200s and cdjs
early 2005-2010: Scratch live and occasional cdjs
    Present: Kontrol S4

when traktor pro came out, i was like, oh, this can do a lot of stuff. but, i didn't want to move over just yet.

the s4 sold me in less than a week's time of watching videos and doing my research.

but, i'm not trying to re-invent myself into a full blown controllerist. i come from a background of integrating turntablist type stuff into dancey type music without getting too technical for people. so, i'm still trying to figure out what i want to get out of this. but, i know for sure i'm going to grow some more. the s4 is a lot of equipment, so i'm working on sorting my music out and finding out what i can and can't do with the machine yet.

but, all that aside, i also wanted to save space. which in your case, you went and got more gear.

if you've never used one before, you'll definitely like that rotary empath.

I don't miss my turntables or SSL (just never really jived with me), but it's about time to upgrade my sound card (I finally need more outputs). If I end up with an SL 3 or 4 or one of the NI interfaces, I might as well get a turntable or two just for the heck of it, but they won't be st150s or m5gs…can't justify that expense.

I won't use them 90% of the time, but it still feels weird not having turntables at all.

Unless they're the same thing that says NI instead of Rane, I don't think they're going to top it, honestly. It might come down to price.
