There won't be a blogpost on the mainpage of DJTT.
However a banner will be posted on the sidebar which is also fine by me.

Its still unsure what NI will do, but I guess Simon will negotiate something cool this week.

I cant see why there shouldnt be a blogpost. We´ve had peeps from the board on the mainpage before. Just because they did sth cool like mounting headphones into cans or creating way´s around software restrictions....

What could possibly be cooler than a community based party in Berlin´s most famous Technoclub, a party that has its roots here on this site. This would simply not happen if it wasnt for djtt. Believe me, we´ve tried on the vdj board twice before and nothing good came from it. And now look what Hedge has accomplished. I mean, damn. That *ish is HUGE! We got forummembers from all around Europe, if not even the world, coming to visit the party. Maybe i´m a little bit biased cause i really dig the whole community spirit that is going on, but to be honest, it kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth that we "only " get a sidebanner. On the other side, a sidebanner is way cooler than completely no mention of the party on the main site. [/rant]

From an editorial standpoint I don't see much point in a story now. The goal is to spread the word and a banner add on the front will do just that. Now after the fact I could see a story (with pics) talking about how the community came together under HedgeHog's excellent leadership and threw a hell of a party.

What you say is true, but it's not like just a post on the FP to announce the party and the fact that there will be a full post afterwards is a terrible thing to do.

Simon will negotiate with NI this week again. I think Shiftee's flight and hotel is what they already promised to cover.

Some more sponsor-money would be good to re-imburse you (and me not going out of this with a 4-digit loss). Since its officially a Tresor-event we neither get entry fee nor booze-money.
I'd probably pay the next party myself because there'd be fewer restrictions from the venue itself. Although the financial risk has to put into that equation as well.
Shiftee/Rafik would've been probably not been picked since they don't drag in as many people as other could do. So the low financial risk also has its merits.

I feel bad about it too, especially after putting work into getting everyone on the flyer... but tresor makes the rules in this case, I'm just the pixel bitch

i don´t think that it´s too bad not having a blog post as long as we have the side banner! i guess a blog post with some pics and stuff from that party would be cool!
still bugs me that we didn´t make it on the flyer
