Your wife spins too? Nice. I don't think I've shared an obsession like that with a girl before.

The girl I was with when I got into DJing was vaguely interested, but it was mostly because she knew a few DJs and kind of liked music in a very general way. I think I tried to teach her to beat match once, and she gave up within ten minutes and just let me do the work. My current girlfriend understands my passion, but she's trying to get into film (production) and has little interest in dance music beyond enjoying the occasional night out.

She went to school for audio engineering, though to be honest she rarely spins or writes music these days. Our first "date" was to guitar center, and then back to my place where I taught her how to beatmatch. I'd probably still be single had I not found someone who was into music making too
