I don't want to start yet another TP2 this is my specific minuscule problem everybody help me thread so I'll ask here.

Has anyone noticed a bug (?) whereby if you use the mouse to snap to a point on the stripe or use a hotcue, it doesn't display the waveform behind the playhead (ie the few beats that have just played)? It's weird.

@fullenglishpint If you mean that part of the waveform is not rendered and you have to click and drag the waveform to force it to render then yeah... I remember that problem on the previous version as well.

@dj just b, is it really OFF or is it the hi definition part part of the sound? why isnt the red play bar starting at the begging of the track like on your s4? that would get tiring going back a few secs every time.

    Documents>Native instruments>Traktor xxx>Collection.nml
Thats where the file is located in what ever traktor you had before hand.

That is spot on mate, its not wrong.
The TSP1 / S4 waveform was showing the envelope and the beats & highs that were at the same position as the beat markers. This made it really clear where the beats were and easy to position the grid.

The new waveform is just the transient and isnt as clear as before. This was always my misgiving with the TruWave.

I blame the "multicoloured waveform" brigade that kept nagging for it.
I think some users who do not use the colours will prefer the older waveform.

On the to-do list. This was an issue in S4.

Yup dose the same thing here and some times the waveform wont load at all. Having to load the same song 3-4 times for it to appear.

Karlos id buy you a drink if you here lol. Thanks so much for solving the headaches we all have!! Thank God i dont need to regrid!!

I find the colored waveforms quite helpful in tightening up one's grids, I have to say. The change in color is a nice new indicator where to position the grid - instead of relying on transients alone, one can also rely on their frequency. Love it so far (but then, I've just been playing around with it half an hour and, well, rechecking some of my old grids)

I suggest you re-import your collection from your original traktor root directory, and then lock your entire collection, and then analyze.

No matter what you have done so far in your new Traktor 2 Collection file, your old Traktor 1 collection has not been changed in any way, you can re-import it, and go back to before you analyzed anything in Traktor 2.
So to get this straight, in my head...

    1. delete .nml from TSP2 folder
    2. open TSP2
    3. import .nml from TSP1
    4. select all in track collection
    5. lock bpm
    6. analyse (async)
    7. check beatgrids

    Is that right?
