Be very happy with it, I reckon.

Going with the A&H will free up a filter knob on your x-1s. It's been said a billion times but the built-in filters are criminally good on those things.

Older Ecler Nuo mixers are among the best values you can find in audio. If you don't mind missing out on the envy-inducing pride that comes with ownership of an A&H, and won't miss that extra filter knob on your x-1s, any mixer in the Nuo line will keep the buyer's regret away. They're pretty serious pieces of equipment.

Hell yes. Ecler mixers are my first choice. Followed by Rane, and A&H

there is a good blog entry on external vs internal as well as some long threads with plenty of info on the pros and cons of both, which is important to remember, as there is bias, and misunderstanding (ie, that the famous dj ___ uses external mixer cause of all the cash they have they laying around)

Analog mixers can help *make* your sound. if you had 30 djs in traktor internally spinning the same set (down to the knob twist), you wouldnt have as much variation as you would if you had those 30 djs on 30 different analog mixers.

They stay analog because there are loads of awesomely good sounding analog devices. Some people say the filters on the xone mixers are worth the money themselves. There are also tons of analog effects that people really love.

Now, the effects in traktor are really good, I'm not shooting down those, I freaking love em.
NOt to mention the famous guys don't setup or takedown their own setups. you have to.

My thoughts exactly. Going to mix externally and pretty much keep fader FX mostly on all the time.

nah ur right the 4 and 5 are great 4 channel club mixers but still with the scratch dj in mind. there are better mixers for purpose in the same price range that apply more to mix oriented style
