    not sure why people didnt make fun of "thinkpad" from a company called "ibm"


    anyway, regardless, if these things run windows 7 with those specs, the ipad will seem twice as fast.

    but now that hp bought palm. if it ends up running webos, its going to seriously give the ipad a run for its money.

    but running windows 7, it wont be able to stand a chance against the ipad. desktop operating systems on tablet devices have never worked in an intuitive or fast way. thats something tablets have been showing us for years.

    xtianw i think you might change your mind about that once slate comes out and people start using it along with software like sensomusic usine and showing what's possible.

    once you are in your software, the ease of use of the operating system isn't really a super priority IMO.

    i do agree with your point that tablets do show the limits of interacting with a full OS with a touchscreen, particularly the monotouch variety.

    No Win7 on the slate

    Smart step IMO. Usability on WebOS and Android wipes the floor with full windows system. Now HP can better compete with iPad, if the Slate ever gets to the market...
