Speaking of deadmau5, went into Hot Topic the other day and guess who had a shirt on the wall. You guessed it. I shook my head.

    DJ Hero 2 *YAY*

    Beat Box *Facepalm*

    Singing? *Facepalm*

    DeadMau5 *YAY!!!*

Only thing missing is Tiesto and Justice... Let's pray that LMFAO never makes it onto the game.

Realize this is the way that DJing can make it mainstream... It is painful in the same way that a DJ show on Disney would, but it's good for the industry.

Kind of disagree. There are already so many shitty djs out there making it look like we do nothing but fiddle with buttons that make no difference.

Anyway, it's not like we need a tonne more people to become djs, it's already competitive as it is. I don't want to have like 25% of my friends to be djs.

Guitar Hero hardly makes anybody become guitarist... I would imagine the same for DJ hero, it just makes more people want to be DJ's (not actually become DJ's). If more people want to be DJ's then it makes us more popular.

I can't see someone being of equal talent of lets say... Jack White, thanking Guitar Hero for sparking their interest in Guitar.

Despite my opinion, I can definitely see where you're coming from.

don't kid yourself, djing is already mainstream and overexposure of cultural niches is always the last breath it takes before it goes back underground - which we'll probably witness within the next 5 years.
it's not like the dance music scene is suffering to the extent that it needs DJ Hero and Dj Jersey Shore to rescue it from obscurity....
