also later you could upgrade to TS Pro and map vci to control decks c and d.

think to get extra decks in Serato scratch, you have to buy fancier sound cards, or an expensive rane mixer.

As a midi alternative, Xone DX, or if you want jogs VCI300 - itch
VCI 100 with a midi fighter/lpd8, or VCI 100 and a pair of eks xp5's - 4 deck control made easier - traktor pro.

i'm very vci 100 biased, lol. also i have a 4 deck control map if you did go down the 100 route and needed it.
Just to make sure I'm following...Start with Traktor Duo, which comes with software for 2 decks and an Audio 4 sound card, and pick up 1 or 2 Turntables (probably just 1 to learn on for now) and then later I could upgrade the software to Pro and pick up the 2 extra decks and then pick up another turntable or a CDJ if I wanted to.

I know the Audio 4 has 4 inputs, but it says they are switchable. Since I've not put my hands on it this is all just theory to me at this point, but will that get the job done or would I need to upgrade to a bigger sound card to?

@Brad....I did the same before getting Deckadance waxed.

    LOL!

@LunchBox...yeah dude...there is the Audio 8.....then you can have 4 external decks running via it and out into a normal mixer.

Thats the big boy i am getting this weekend if all goes well.

Basically, you need a sound card with mutiple channels so you can cue up on the headphones.

Switchable means that it can be either headphone channel or a normal channel to send Audio out on.

Audio 4 will give you 2 outs. Audio 8 has 4 outs. Same number of ins.

You'll need Traktor Scratch Duo if your want timecode control.

Okay...sorry, still not sure that I'm getting it. The Audio 4 only has 2 outs, so you can only run 2 decks at the same time...so the VCI100 must have 2 out on it as well then? Do you see where I'm going here? Would the Audio 4 only fit the VCI100? Could I run the VCI100 and 1 or 2 TTL's with the Audio 4 or would I have to get the Audio 8?

I didn't call it that, but I was looking at it, so I did get that part.
