    still don't know about the whole "a b c d" thing. it's traktorizing. personally I've always felt like even 8 channels are not enough (hence my apc80), I can't imagine playing a liveset with only 4 tracks - and constantly skipping left to right is not very ergonomical. for dj applications, yes, maybe. but it's not like you can't do any of this very well with an apc40 already.

    but kudos for the effort.

    I understand, personally i try to work with less channels and more work on sound modulation and instrument, that why i try this design, for the "left to right" navigation i hate that too, that why just up to the cross nav i put some button for presets positions, so you can switch your position to 4 drum channel to 4 other channel with loop and 4 channel for return fx 4 masters channel ...this kind of thing.
    But you're right it look like a """traktorizing""" approach but with instrument , sequencer, personal FX ...
