I had a Mac Mini 2.0ghz with 2gb of ram... wasn't really that impressed with the performance tbh, but then I've got quite a nice desktop pc to compare it to... sold the mac mini after a month.

Regarding DAW's... I've been using Steinberg Cubase since 1996 and have a love/hate relationship with it to this day! If I were starting from scratch, and wasn't so entrenched in my Cubase ways, I'd definitely be using Ableton Live. I don't particularly rate Logic, but then I guess I just prefer the way that Live and Cubase can manipulate audio files. I'd also look at Renoise, if only it had a piano roll!

    EDIT.

If plugged into a macbook pro via dvi you should be able to see 3 monitors !
Didnt work. Got the splitter from a local shop, was only £4 but it only extends into 2 (inc laptop).
Still had 2 images. One on the Mac and one duplicated on both widescreens.

It worked as you said on my Dell but because that is only the 2 widescreens.

Any its cool having the Mac on 2 screens though.

Mini Mac dropped by £50 today at the Apple store hmm.
