I think I would be properly shattered after such an accident.

I've luckily not yet had anyone spill anything on my laptop. Somehow my charming powers of persuasion are able to keep liquid brandishing individuals away from my valuable electronics.

Then again my idea of charming powers of persuasion tends to be me waving a rusty machete frantically, red faced, screaming spittle, yelling indiscernible obscenities at anyone who comes anywhere near my stuff with more than 1ml of liquid. I am more of a douche about it than those fuckers at US airports.

    My gear....your foot. Choose wisely.

Hey, if you're lucky...you might end up with a date to the afterparty.

The afterparty is always called Sexy Party...bear traps are sexy, right?

If bear traps are too cruel...you could always spring one of these.....

I think I'm in the clear.

Got the thing open (what a drag), and all I can say is, thank god for the tight apple construction. Things could have been a lot worse. There was a small amount of beer on the logic board, but most of it ended up in the keyboard assembly and ports. Distilled water and a lot of q-tips did the trick. Had to take all the keys off and scrub em, plus most of the top case, inside and out. But she's purring away now, no hint of a glitch. I am RELIEVED.

This will never happen again, no way, no how.

well done mate, you dodged a bullet there!'

when u had pc laptops i couldnt have cared less about drinks food near them.. but since buying a macbook i've been super anal about what is in the vicinity. its like i have a 1 mtr buffer zone from ANYTHING that's near it - and definitiely no food or drinks around it!

...i really should look at home and contents insurance options come to think of it - so should everyone as most policies (here in australia at least) cover accidental damage
