If I could start again, the one thing I'd differently would be to spend as much time on my left (record) hand scratching as I did on my right.

when i started learning I tried to be ambidextrous, but had a hard time of things.
for example: i transform better with my left hand on the record and right hand on the fader. when i switch, i get mixed results and i am not consistent. but, i can do crabs and twiddles easier from this side. left hand fader, right on record.
Ditto. I can do 3-finger crabs and twiddles with my left hand on the fader. I can crab with right hand on the fader, but my left hand record movement is pretty poor...

I only scratch with deck B. I will scratch into the track on B, then load it into A, cross over, maybe do some instant double action, then load a new track into B.
Only thing I can really do with my left hand is backspin, or small little babies.
