It's not a particularly exceptional mixer for the money, but it's the MIDI aspect that makes it value for money and a quality buy for the price.

Indeed. And even better, you can turn section on or off in terms of MIDI. That is, you assign what part of the mixer you want as is factory built and what parts you wish to use for MIDI control, so you can use the entire mixer for MIDI or none of it. It's a very flexible and quality mixer/MIDI combo for the price and a good buy for a beginner setup.
