    Hello everybody
I found this thread so I'm posting my question about the delay fx in this one I hope it's fine
I try to understand how this delay fx works but I'm not sure at all.
To what I understood so far, it's a buffer based fx : so is it the rate button which control the size of the buffer ? If so what mean the different values for example 4/4 : should I interprete it as 4 beats in a raw or 1 beat (4 divided by 4) ?
Moreover how long last the fx : is it always the same length or is it also set by the rate button ?
Finally I have the feeling that the delay fx in the chain mode is not the same in the advanced mode. Is is due to certain presets values for the feedback and the filter buttons in the chain mode ?
You might find my questions very boring or basic but would to really understand how these different fx work in order to know where it it the best to use them.
Thank you a lot for your help
    Jérôme

is there a delay in traktor that operates in Hz as opposed to being beatsynced? that could be an alternative...

Sorry guys I'm again asking the same question but you don't have the feeling that the delay effect in single mode is not the same than in chain mode. For example, in chain mode, when you set the value to 1/32 and press pause, the song echoes out for a very long time whereas it is not the case at all in single mode. I'm trying to reproduce the chain delay effect by playing with the different parameters in single mode but I don't manage.
You might ask me why I'm trying to do this and that there is no goal of doing that but it's just to understand better ow this effect works ;-)
    Thank you for your replies

it's not the same, you have to increase the feedback parameter in single mode to get a more longer trail.
As for the previous posts, the way the delay(s) work have been changed from 2.1.2 and 2.1.3 as far as I remember and if Im' not mistaken, the delay's trail following much more quicker the new bpm from the new track. That has been previously discussed before I guess.
    Latest mix

There’s also an almost hermetic community that exists in many areas of dance music, where serious hobbyists feed off each other’s expertise but barely connect to the industry – despite many of those involved actually working in it.
