Its loud and clean and simple. Did a head to head with an Rane SL1 and an ESI-Gigaport, and I thought my sound blew both of them out of the water. +1, there is a reason everyone loves their A2DJ.

Save up a little more and go for an Audio4DJ!

I used to do the same thing before I got my S4.

I'd disgree. I mean it's awesome if you want to use a DVS but a lot more people seem to have issues with the drivers than with the audio 2. Also if you don't want inuts why are you using it? no point paying extra to get features you will never use.

There's a difference between "never use" and "don't need now." I'm not saying to go out and buy a 40 i/o sound card, but even then, if it's not in the budget, I'd still say just to get the Audio2

Are you planning on mixing externally or just for a soundcard to output to the club mixer?
Will you be planning on using timecode? Would you possibly need XLR or any other kind of wierd imputs? I myself have an Audio 4 DJ, but consider also a Focusrite Saffire 6, if you plan on externally mixing that is!
I wanna mix externaly, so would the audio 2 be alright for this?

Audio 2 will work fine for mixing 2 channels externally. In addition you can expand this to mixing 4 channels by buying a second audio 2 dj and using the ASIO drivers. This will generally be fuck loads cheaper than buying a decent sound card with 4 stereo outputs.

You don't need any special kind of outputs or special sound card in order to mix externally, you just need one stereo output per channel and a cable that fits.

As i understand, the ESI U46 XL is good only for external mixing, because the headphones output is not a separate output, you can only change the output levels of every channel on the ESI control panel, right?

You won't be using the headphone jack when mixing externally, you'll be using the headphone jack and cueing function built into the mixer.

+ What you on about, there's a headphone volume knob right there.

I understand it, but what if I want to mix both external and internal?
So can I send 1/2 to master and 3/4 to monitor?
