DJTT Tankard
I dno man, I'm not sure that looking back I'd want myself to have gone for lessons. I used to learn the clarinet and the guitar as a young'un, and because I was being taught and told what to practice, I never did.
I'm sure it's different for a lot of people, but I'm really glad I taught myself because for one thing I feel it's a pretty sizeable achievement (relative to learning the clarinet for 5 years and ending up with a reluctant grade 3 merit and a resentful attitude to perforated wooden tubes), but also because i feel I've really been able to develop my own style and way of doing things.
My main influence to be fair has probably been DJTT. In fact definitely. The blog, and later the forum have inspired me where no music teacher ever did.
