    While yeah DJTT is worth supporting, i still think/know that a USB lead from a local Pound shop etc will do exactly the same jobfor a lot less money.

    <rant>
    Its a digital signal, no need for OFC, no need for gold contacts, all just hype and makes no difference at the end of the day. For gigging I use a pair of USB 1.5m cables with leds in each end (very handy for setting up in a dark booth btw), that i got from TK Maxx for £2.99 (thats for the pair) and ive suffered no degradation in audio quality, no pops, no crackles etc....

    oh, and i spotted cpc/farnell selling gold plated optical leads...i mean seriously wtf...apparently glass and light isnt quick enough unless it has gold contacts lmao...

    </rant>

    sorry for the thread hijack...

    Good rant Chris - I wish I'd heard it before I fell into the Monster trap. But yeah, I do feel good about supporting DJTT.

    Agreed!

    Finding USB cables with Ferrites is not possible here.

    Even just the ferrites are hard to come by!

    Nope that's the price! But it's totally worth it; what would you rather spend your money on anyway -- one of those Allen + Heath DB4 mixers, or a kick-ass USB cord to plug in your M-Audio Trigger Finger!
