    Mind this; Daft Punk is using two BCR2000's.
    You want to use a BCD3000 + it's built in soundcard;
    If one of the "Daft Punk" BCR gives errors, they can just remove it from their computer, no big deal.
    If your BCD gives an error, and you have to remove it, you automatically remove your soundcard -> end of your gig.
    BCD + Audio 2 Dj = solution?

    Eff me, it came today... It was in a bit of a state (Fingerprints, one jog wheel jammed at a certain rotation, and the knob surrounds where pressed into the macine.) and I was like, "What the..." So I contacted the reputable website who I'd bought it from.

    I bought it discounted by about £10 because it had a "damaged box", which I thought, fair enough, I'll only chuck it out anyways. Turns out, it was an ex-display model! Nice of them to tell me this now, and they said they listed it in the ex-display clearance section as well as the damaged goods section, so I should have known. Because obviously you check the other sections on a site for other information regarding your item.

    Being royal Di*kjockeys, GAK decided I was in the wrong, and there was no refund going to happen. So that'll be the last time I use their (up until now, amazing) service.

    So my first fun with the BCD was taking it apart to fix everything. I oiled up the bearings on the jogs, glued all hangy off parts, broke a clip inside (Doesn't really matter, Behringer just use it to dissuade you from opening it I imagine) and put it all back together, looking (and operating) as good as new. Well, as I imagine it operated new, the oiled bearings are smooth as hell and probably an improvement.

    So, I hook it all up to TP2, launchpad at the side like "Wait, what the hell am I supposed to do now!?" and started mapping it out. Easy stuff, I like how they give you the option to have the buttons used for what they're meant to (Play is a toggle) or just as straight up buttons, knobs and LEDs (Play is simple button, and it's LED is a regular LED, all mappable how you like).

    I loaded up Salmon Dance, slapped play (buttons make a lovely click sound) and OH YEAH! This is awesome! Can't believe it only cost- Why is it crackling.

    I dove into the configuration panel with the ferocity of an eagle hunting shrew, and my latency was at 21 ms and POPPING. With my Behringer UCA-202, the crappy £20 soundcard, I managed a slim 6.1 ms without glitches.

    This was however, using ASIO4ALL, so I put the BCD3000 through that as well, back to 6.6. So I was all like AWWW SEXY SEXY, MR BOOMBASTIC IN DA H- Why are my headphones not working?

    Turns out, ASIO4ALL works by using the devices WDM drivers and turns them into ASIO, and WDM does not support higher than stereo output. This leaves me with a choice.

    6.6 with no headphones,
    or 32.1 (That is what I had to go to to get clear sound) with headphones (kind of important.)

    What I don't get, is I've seen lesser laptops using the BCD3000 (with it's native ASIO driver) ploughing through with 11 ms, which to me is fine, I can cope with that. Why is mine punishing me with this ridiculous latency?

    I'm getting the feeling I'm going to have start disabling loads of stuff on my computer, but before I do, does anyone know of any possible causes to this? It's obviously the BCD's driver conflicting with something on the computer, but I have no idea what.

    Apart from this latency issue (Which isn't the BCD's fault, I've seen it operate at far less) my first impression is actually just that, impressed. I've seen controllers cost twice as much feel not as good, the buttons are lovely clicky clacky instant response types, the knobs are solid (Their surrounds are obviously not, but thats because some people are ****s with no respect for other peoples property) And from the ten hours I've spent with it, it hasn't failed once (it just lags like a beast).

    Obviously it's going to take a few weeks and a couple of gigs before I know whether this gets the bin bag or gig bag real estate, but I feel as though with corrected latency, this is a definite gig bag.
