Ecler Nuo4 Review.

Update: I'm having a slight issue with one of the front toggle switches where I very infrequently have to actually toggle the "reverse" or "fade" switch, otherwise only half volume comes from 2 of the channels.

This might actually be due to the way I transport it (toggles could be getting bumped) since it rarely happens.

do you have your nuo4 mapped to anything in traktor?
wanna start to map my ecler since I have switched back from the controller to tables again.

ever since i bought my Korg MicroKontrol I rarely use my Ecler for MIDI..
I did have browsing, filters, Cue jumping, scrubbing, and some fx set up at one point though.
If you have Traktor 2 and also use 2 decks, you can set up the center strip for Loop Recorder functions and keep 2 MIDI channels (one for each deck) for independent deck functions or something

@DJ Asand, is there anyway I could get that mapping for the Ecler? Ive been using it with VDJ & Serato for video. Its a great mixer, but Im new to Traktor and I wanna give it try and your mapping sounds just what I'm looking for.

I dont have the mapping anymore.. I started to update my mapping but I deleted it all and was re-doing it from memory lol

The Traktor 2 mapping was just a suggestion as I dont have Traktor Pro 2 at the moment.

I'll help you all out by posting a mapping soon though

That's cool, can't wait to try it out. In the meantime I think I'm getting this mapping down, lol! I've managed to map Numark DJ2GO to control 4 decks with effects, lol!

good to see other ecler owners using traktor.
I dont have TP2 - I have TSD1.

So, I'm at about the 5 month mark of owning this mixer and I'm still extremely happy with it. I baby my equipment so I couldn't really attest to its ability to withstand abuse.. but I will tell you that all the pots and faders are still buttery smooth.

Although the Mid EQ knob takes up a pretty good chunk of the frequency band (sometimes leaving just this highest cymbals/synths and just the funkiest/deeper parts of basslines), I've found that I really like this mixing style.

I've learned that its almost as if I'm filter mixing, bc I've found that my favorite way to bring in a track is to turn down the EQs, bring up the volume fader, bring in the High EQ to 9 o' clock, then as I bring in the MID EQ I get a sweeping sound to everything.

Picked up a Nuo 2.0 for cheap. Can't wait to give it a try. I have been waiting to try Ecler for a looooong time!
