There are mobile themes and bookmarks for that, why would I want an app?

This is not the point tyfurious.. It would provide an easy access- just pressing on an icon to get access to the site's post. However, that is not the big picture here..

Android is the most popular smartphone operating system in the world based on a study.

The exposure of the app into the market is invaluable in terms of reaching new enthusiasts and gaining new people interested in the world of digital dj'ing.

It allows people to access it from a mobile platform with the press of the icon.

This is also good for the store in a long term situation. Once the reader downloads the app, they will be able to read all the posts. If they are truly interested, they will pay a visit to the site and look at the wealth of information on there. After doing this and committing themselves to DJ'ing, they will frequently reference the site. Since they learned all this information, it is likely they will purchase a product from TechTools, the place they learned dj'ing from, naturally building trust.

That sir, is the point of these mobile apps. Getting the word out to new people and truly making an impact, both for the site, and digital dj'ing in general. Chances are, someone will stumble upon the app, and download it for free!

The exposure is a good thing, but you can still bookmark the website and set it up to an icon in your dock or appspace (whatever they call it). The app would be nice for exposure, but I won't use it.

    would love an iPad version!

one reason why an app is better than a bookmark on the home screen is that everytime I click on my DJTT bookmark, it fires up Safari and creates a new 'tab' (even though DJTT is the currently loaded webpage). Having an app would hopefully solve that.

    You mean like this?

i admire your effort, but seriously, the mobile version of the blog is very good and unless I'm missing something that's really all your doing. I guess the exposure would be nice, but I'm not convinced it would be that beneficial.
