I see no difference in performance compared to my Mac Mini with the same Intel Core Duo T2400 1.83GHz processor and 2GB of ram.
good stuff, how much was the dell originally?

personally I'd go for something like a Core2Duo 2.0ghz laptop with at least 2gb ram... you should be able to get something for around £200 off ebay (that D620 seems a good choice).

then I'd take the hard disk out and replace it with an SSD. You'll be surprised at how fast the laptop will feel once you've done this... I use a similar laptop as my Traktor gig laptop and it works flawlessly.

For a very easy install of OSX on a Dell D620/D630/D830 look here: http://osx86.co/f57/dell-d620-630-830-kext-pack-t3840/

I have had Traktor running on a netbook before the MAIN problem with pc lappys is DPC latency

    download this

    http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml

and try go to the shop and test it before you buy ! failing that google the make and model and dpc latency

You can get some cheap ass pc laptops that run traktor / serato fine main prob is that DPC causes drop outs and can be a nightmare to sort out

Yeah failing that get a mac had one back on pc now not by choice mind you FUNDS !!
