I wouldn't call any of the music posted in the OP as Bassline or Funky, but there are similarities.

i personally feel that all these "sub-genres" that get thrown around are more than a bit stupid. everyone has a different concept of what a genre is, let alone a sub-genre, and the internet arguements aren't even constructive arguements either. I've genuinely seem comments "omg, skrillex is shit. it's not even fucking dubstep. go listen to borgore or some proper dubstep LOL". to which a 'hardcore' dubstep fan would clearly contest to, since borgore isn't chilled, and dubstep started off all chill, etc... and it goes on. it doesn't push innovation in the scene, all the labels just hinder it
we'll end up like the metal-heads soon if we're not careful...
There are only 3 genres. Male, female, and non-genre-specific.
No wait that's not right...

This is primarily what I mix, although I have never heard of it called post-dubstep before. There is a link in my sig for my sound cloud set, has some more examples of the genre for those of you who want to hear more!

I liked it before it was post - dubstep![]()
Theres a website that refers to it as post dubstep somewhere
Ben UFO from Hessle says he hates the term and just refers to it as house.
The problem is that all these associated labels put out music that is so diverse its hard to pin hole! - UK Bass, UK Funky, Juke, Garage - they all fit in with the overall sound.
Dubstep that is heard now is very different to the original sound which took its roots from Dub and the old UK Garage.
I cant believe I didnt mention Mount Kimbie either! I put a link to the SUBTRK album in another post, again that has lots of elements from the above and is a amazing album imo! Also have a look at boilerroom.tv its got loads of video and soundcloud mixs.
