Ok stuff the inspiron .... just bought a used d630 off ebay.

Its got a 2.4ghz T8300 Processor, 2GB Ram, USB, Firewire only an 80gb HD but its a 7200 RPM one ( I will upgrade this at some point )

Won it for just £316.00 which i think is a pretty good deal considerin i was about to blow £550 on the new inspiron which didnt have firewire and had a slower processor.

I'm a happy person ... anyone out there care to burst my bubble

Seems good mate, maybe stick a bit more RAM in, yeah larger HDD, and you are all gravy, get a nice stand, and a good case and a clean streamlined xp install.

    boom.
    easy.
    what you worried about?
    shut up.

Hahahahahaha I'm just waiting to find something ive overlooked. I'm proper chuffed to be honest as ive in effect just saved myself £200+ pounds and in doing that saved myself the need of getting ripped off by some over charging credit company as i had the money saved bar about £40.00

    HAPPY DAYS!!!

you do realise that model doesn't have the codec for MP3's and won't work with internal or external soundcards right?
