what type of comp are you running and what are the spec's?
Just because your computer is slow is no reason to trash the software! hehe
Personally, I opened two copies of PN, ran half my collection in one, and half in the other, and had one core work on each, and used my other 2 cores to just surf the webs and do my other stuff. took a total of about 3-4 weeks(50k plus), but once it was done it was like sex on toast. I don't mind waiting for quality. Considering all the processing it's doing I think it's extremely fast.

After waiting 4 and a half days for PN to process it fucking pissed off. It completely fucked up my entire collection. It erased all the ID3 tags for mix, remix, label, and genre, plus others.
Ive read their shitty forum and I dont think anybody should have to do a bunch of bullshit steps to convert their files before running them through PN and I dont think that you should have to edit your files when PN is done to fix all the errors PN causes. The developers of PN are NOT SKILLED PROGRAMMERS AT ALL, they cany even get the most basic features to work properly.
I shouldnt have to do anything, I should be able to just drop the songs in PN and it should do its things and I should get my files back in the extact same condition that I put them into the program, not missing all their critical information.
for me, PN is a piece of shit and i wouldnt waste my money on it until they have fixed ALL the bugs and make it work correctly.
well if u had a look at the options you would have seen that you have the options to either re write id tags or not. its clearly written under personalise.
so not the coders fault but rather yours not looking correctly at what the software can do for u.
Wow Slothdog, I havent had any problems with PN messing with my ID3 tags. I hate to sounds like a dick, but do you regularly backup your music? I would say to have atleast 2 entire copies of your collection.
I did fix all my track name with iTag (Mac) but that was something that I've been wanting to do. IE Depeche Mode - Just Cant Get Enough - Single Mix.mp3 vs have depeche_mode_-_just_cant_get_enough_single_mix.mp3
Lol!
Sounds like you just didn't look through the options before running through your collection. whoops! can't blame the software, that wasn't a bug at all, you just had a wrong setting checked.
Hey, at least you didn't delete the old files so you can just delete the _pn files and try again with the right settings.

I'm currently looking at some 'Replay Gain' utilising software so that I can forego setting the gain for tracks in Traktor.
The whole concept of gain is something I'm still a little foggy about. How should I judge what gain setting to write to my collection? If I'm using dbPowerAmp for example, what gain should I enter to set the Replay Gain values at?
Thanks guys&gals.

Heres a question for your PN users,
Is PN decoding the mp3 file, running its processes then recompressing the file ?
Wouldnt this cause a loss of quality unless you were using uncompressed audio files ?
-13db will work - sorry i havent answered your PM yet havnet been to well the last couple days, ill get onto that now.
