wow I am actually going to need traktor pro so getting an x1 with it is a added bonus. do you think the x1 will easily intergrate with the twitch? and also say in the future i don't need it anymore or a new kontrol x2 comes out, would i be able to resell it easilly?

It's a midi controller. Everything integrates with everything!

Anyway the twitch would allow you to quickly insert effects and fire off samples with those awesome banks of pads.

How many decks are you actually planning on using? 2 + samples? Do you think you will ever use the loop recorder on the S4? Why not look at the VCI100 and maybe a midi fighter/x1 ?

The VCI is waaaay more expensive than the twitch for basically the same thing dude. And you'll get less support, no interface and no serato itch.

Loop recorder ? probably not, the only reason i was attracted to the s4 was because it's an all in one. but the twitch with an x1(With traktor pro2) seems like cheaper alternative. I am not keen on getting used things like electronic because there is no guarantee that they will work perfectly.

X1 is a tank, i bought mine used, and its been dropped off stages, flung into DJ bags bashed about the place w/o any protection, it was atleast 6 months before i actually bought a case for it. Its just indestructable, along with the audio 2 :3

Keep in consideration I need something easily mappable to traktor, and the controller must have some room for easily accessible fx controls :P and look acceptable in a under 18 club environment :/
No controller atm is acceptable in a club environment, And from ^post im assuming you cant beatmatch, Ive seen it twice already, newbie DJs with their Traktor controller and Mac, turn upto a gig and the owner goes wtf is that? your not plugging that in here, and the newbie has no backup CDs and if he did, woudnt know what to do with them.

Yes the S4 would look pretty damn cool in a house party where theres no rules, no space restrictions, etc etc.

Yes get a digital DJ controller by all means, but some advice, learn your trade, maybe get the S4, then get some money together and rent/buy a pair of CDJs and teach yourself basic beatmatching (yes it can be done on an S4, but nothing compares to the real thing)

Generally if someone has a decent Ebay rating and 99-100% positive feedback, and its listed as full working order, its gona work, if not, your protected by ebay buyer protection.

I don't consider myself a dj yet and i know i have alot of work to do but regarding the use of a controller for gigs. I have seen a semi-popular dj who uses a hercules rmx at organized under 18 raves/parties, and even at this one popular under 18 dance club so i am thinking that if i were buy lets say a twitch for example then with some practice i would have a pretty good shot auditioning for this club don't you think?

so far i think the attitude towards controllers here in vancouver are pretty good and i am not concerned that someone will turn me down for having one unless i am was auditioning for a top club for which i am not even of legal age to work at yet :/

    on a side note**
Also can the kontrol x1 work with the twitch's soundcard or will i have to get a separate one. if i do need another soundcard, then what sounds cards out there are really cheap and suitable for this set up.

It a midi controller, what sound card you use with it doesn't matter. So yes, you can use the x1 with the twitches internal sound card.
