The soundcard isn't traktor certified, it only works due to a bug on windows, not at all on a mac.

Not to mention an Inofader will fit.

On of the bars I play in has one of these, it's ...ok...

(largely as the crossfader is broken and they're too stupid/tight to replace it - I've even offered to do it myself. I don't play there anymore ...

You see statement like this arenot helping me resist the TT57-SL I linked to at the top of the page (especially when it's got a Doc Vek custm faceplate designed for DJ Cheeba and Kentaro on it ...)

I don't think there are anywhere near as many cheapo scratch mixers in the UK as there seem to be over the pond ... how much is a 2nd hand Rane over there?

Swap $ for £ and that's what you get them for in the UK, and tbh for that price, I'd get a 2nd hand TTM57 I reckon, especially as the Traktor timecode works due to a bug, rather than by design (else, yes it does look sweet)

I've just got a Vestax 05 Pro IV in and rate it highly. I wouldn't rush to fit an Innofader as it's already got a very high quality fader in it with all the controls you need.

I've yet to play at length with a Denon DN-X600 but first impressions are good - MIDI, effects and audio interface built it. But if you want to use TSP2 or SSL, you'll still need an external interface anyway.

Ahoy Giz, I was hoping for your input.

I've already got TSP2 and am on the lookout for a cheap SL box, so I can be familiar with both systems. I don't want to be the akward bugger who turns up to play a night where everyone else is using Serato, and then needs to unplug everything and rig up Traktor instead (case in point being playing at the Big Chill last year to find Serato and Torq already there and having to lace wires all over the shop - messy and stressful)

Whilst I like the idea of having a DVS enabled mixer that you know works (similar to the benefits of I've currently got a when taking a VCI100SE modded with a Pro X Fade to play off) and which means I just plug in decks and a laptop without worring about soundcards, it does get awkward when you have to lug it to gigs and mess round with the house system which some owners don't like you doing.

I'd imagine I'd still try to own both soundcards and a seperate mixer (either DVS enabled or not), I've currently spotted a reasonably priced NUO2.0 and Pioneer 707 (and less reasonably priced TTM57 and X1600s) so I might as well throw that Vestax into the mix

The advantage of the Vestax is the onboard MIDI controls, specifically for track navigation and mapping to loops and cues. It would be my choice and gives you freedom to hook up the interface of your choice.

Yeah just looking at that now - look s quite slick in the black colour. there seem to be a hell of a lot of inputs as well for something with '2 channels'. I can work most of them out, but what that 'sub' on the left. We getting a full review over on Skratchworx soon?

Oh, for someone to come up with a mixer that was certified by Traktor and Serato - I'd be on it in a heartbeat ...
